He started his career as a power brawling wrestler and was nearly 300 pounds. It is in the year 1978 that Ric Flair has started to become an elite wrestler and was having a heated rivalry with Buddy Rogers. Being popularly known as “The Nature Boy” happened during this time as well. It is also here that he has started to be sporting bleached blond hair, expensive suits, elegant jewelry, and astonishing custom robes. The trademark four-legged leg lock is what Ric Flair has also created during this time.

After Crockett left the NWA that it was Ric Flair that has started the World Championship Wrestling. For him to create a promotion that he has used his world championship title. By the time that Ric Flair has joined the WWE that he immediately made a mark on it. It was in the 1992 Royal Rumble that he was able to defeat Randy Savage claiming the title. It was in the year 1993 that he returned to the WCW defeating Vader at the Starrcade 1993. In the year 1994 that he was also the one that joined Hulk Hogan of the death match. It was in the year 2001 that WWE buying to WCW but Ric Flair still maintained his popularity. It is with the upcoming new talents that WWE have that it has somehow overshadowed the career that Ric Flair has. Establishing his name as one of the legends was what Ric Flair was able to do with the career that he had in wrestling.
